What makes a strong pitch

Tell us the working idea, the reader it serves and the central point the piece will make. Explain what makes the subject distinct and how you would handle it without relying on unsupported claims, a product roundup or advice that assumes every garden has the same conditions. A focused comparison, an explanation of a garden feature, or a well-framed piece of background can all make a useful proposal.

We look for clear, original writing with a specific point of view and close attention to detail. Please identify any relevant sources, images or commercial relationships connected to your proposal. Do not send confidential information or work that you do not have permission to share.
